Become An Elite Model

Many young women dream of becoming a model for Elite, the largest modeling agency in the world. Being a model is not only a demanding job, but the competition is great. Of the thousands of people that apply, only a select few are chosen to represent Elite. Elite Model Management has been in business since the 1970s and is still going strong today.

Instructions

1. Assess yourself. Elite wants all applicants to be at least 13 years old and female. Applicants younger than 17 must be a minimum height of 5 feet 6, and applicants ages 18 and older must be at minimum of 5 feet 8. Elite requires minors to have their parents' consent. You must have a very strong desire to be a model and all that the career entails. Contrary to popular belief, modeling is difficult work. The hours can be very long, working conditions can be less than ideal (such as a swimsuit photo shoot held in the winter) and deadlines are tight and stressful.

2. Attend an open call. Elite holds open calls at the Chicago agency every day beginning at 3:30 p.m, Monday through Friday. Dress casually and wear no make up. Casual dress and a clean face allow the agency representatives to see what you look like without enhancements. They can also take a good look at your facial bone structure this way. Both men and women are welcome to attend an open call.

3. Submit your photos. Another way to be seen by Elite is to use the online form, through the website, to submit your photos and basic information. You can also download the form and mail it in with your photographs. It is recommended that you include a full body shot, preferably in a bathing suit. This enables Elite to see your shape and size. Head shots are also necessary.
