Boost the Reception of Wireless for XBox 360
Microsoft's Xbox Live gaming service makes the Xbox 360 that much more enjoyable to play. It offers the ability to chat with friends while playing your own games and playing games with each other cooperatively or against one other. To take advantage of the service, your Xbox 360 must be connected to the Internet and Xbox Live. If you are using the Xbox 360 Wireless Adapter, you may experience lag or even disconnect from Xbox Live, preventing you from enjoying the service. Fixing low-signal issues is a simple process that will allow you to get back to gaming.
Instructions
1. Ensure that the Xbox 360 Wireless Adapter has is connected to your Xbox 360 properly by removing and replacing it, making sure that it is pushed all the way into the USB port on the back of the Xbox 360. 2. Check that the Xbox 360 Wireless Adapter's antenna(s) is pointing up. Also check that the antenna(s) on your wireless router is pointing up.
3. Restart both your cable modem and your wireless router for two minutes, then plug them back in. This will reset each device in case either was operating improperly.
4. Move any microwaves, cell-phone stands and other 2.2-GHz away from the Xbox 360, as these devices can interfere with the wireless signals.
5. Move your Xbox 360 and/or your wireless router to positions with the least obstructions between them to ensure that nothing is blocking the wireless signal.
