Become A Tennis Champion

Becoming a tennis champion requires dedication and a solid work ethic.

Becoming a tennis champion is a goal for millions of kids and young adults. Getting to the point where this is a possibility for those who possess great natural ability involves a superior work ethic and an intense training program. While very few will ever accomplish the goal of becoming a tennis champion, there are a select few who have the drive, discipline and dedication to make their dreams come true.

Instructions

1. Cultivate a feeling of certainty that you will accomplish your goal of becoming a tennis champion . Unwavering belief in oneself is a trait shared by all sports champions. This is especially true when times are bad and self-doubt sets in. You must be strong enough to overcome adversity.

2. Practice harder than your competition. If your competitors are practicing for two hours per day you should be practicing for three. Talent is not enough to make you a tennis champion. You must be willing to work harder than everyone else.

3. Invest in proper coaching. Tennis champions have been properly coached and guided since a young age. Personal coaching instruction is needed o becoming a great tennis player and invaluable to becoming a tennis champion.

4. Learn to keep your emotions in check and to stay calm in stressful situations. One of the prime reasons players fail to distinguish themselves is because they have a problem dealing with tense situations on the court. The more tense games you play in and emerge from victorious, the greater your ability to deal with pressure will become.

5. Build your endurance by running and weight training. Being stronger and fitter than the competition is a must. This ties in with outworking your peers.

6. Enter competitions to access your skill level and to grow as a player (and person) from the matches you play. Play as many matches as your body allows you because you will improve quickly through match-play.

7. Consume a balanced diet and consult a nutritionist regarding setting up a diet plan for you. Nutrition plays a key role in becoming a complete player, the type of player who is capable of one day becoming a champion.
