Be A Good Loser

At one time or another, everyone loses at something. Unless you're a pro, having fun is the ultimate goal in sports, not winning. Try to stifle the bad loser in you by following a few of the rules below.

Instructions

1. Cheer your teammates on even if you are losing. Your cheering could be the inspiration for a game winning comeback!

2. Agree to sit out so that your teammates have some field time. Even if you think you are a better player, letting everyone get in the game shows good sportsmanship.

3. Playing fair and not cheating shows the mark of a good sportsman.

4. Never blame another teammate for losing a game. Learning from mistakes helps us to play better the next time.

5. Wait until the game is over to ask the coach to explain any calls that you don't agree with. Never argue with the official if you don't understand his call during the game.

6. Focus on following the coaches directions and listening to what they tell you to do. Don't stray from the game plan.

7. Winner or loser, you should always end the game by telling your teammates and opponents "good game!"

8. Play your best and don't be a show off. People will respect you more if you play with dignity.

9. Remember your good manners on the field. Be kind to everyone that you play against and with. Don't pollute the field with negative talk.
