Broadcast Free On Stickam Com

Want to start your own Internet radio station? Stickam has a solution to your Internet broadcasting dilemma. You can use their web site to broadcast and chat simultaneously with 300 people on the Internet. Stickam is absolutely free, easy to use and there is no need to download any additional software.


Instructions


1. Make sure you have a fast Internet connection (Stickam recommends a DSL or T1 broadband connection), a 233 MHz Pentium III (or faster), a 16-bit sound card, a video card and at least 128 MB of RAM.


2. Verify that you have the latest edition of Flash Media Player and Microsoft Internet Explorer installed by checking for updated versions online. Please note that Stickam also supports the latest version of Firefox.


3. Enable your JavaScript by going to the tool bar menu on your Microsoft Internet Explorer browser and highlighting the ?Tools? option. Scroll down to ?Internet Options?and select the ?Advanced Options? tab. Scroll down to the ?Java Sun? box and check it. Remember to set your browser security level to medium or lower.


4. Sign up for your free account at Stickam.com and activate it.


5. Set up your profile by clicking on the ?Edit Profile? option. Select the ?General Information? tab. Fill in message, select language, choose the genre and type in up to three URL addresses. You can also enter your request line phone number in this section. Do not forget to press the ?Save? button. Now, Select the ?Preference? tab to setup your Stickam player settings, video chat settings, email notifications and privacy settings. Press the ?Save? button.


6. Upload videos by clicking on the ?Edit Video? link. Select the file you want to upload, type in the title, choose the category, type in tags and description. Check the terms of service agreement and press the ?Upload? button.? To upload pictures and audio files just highlight the corresponding option from the main menu and follow the same steps as for uploading videos.


7. Setup your web cam and microphone settings on your computers as you normally would. To broadcast live, click on the ?Go Live? button at the top of the Stickam main menu. A small window will open; click on the ?Accept? button and start broadcasting by pressing the ?Microphone?icon. To record audio and video directly onto Stickam, go to the main menu and select the ?Edit Video? option. Click on the ?Record Audio/Video? button on the right-hand side of the screen. A pop-up window will open; click on the ?Accept? button. Now, follow the prompts for recording video and audio. To record video, you will need to have a web cam.


8. Decide whether to broadcast directly to people on Stickam, or copy and paste the Stickam player HTML code to your own web site. The latter allows everyone visiting your web site to hear and see your broadcast.


9. Invite your friends by clicking on the ?Invite Friends? option. You can type multiple email addresses into the email notification form or choose to import email addresses directly from your Yahoo!, Hotmail, Gmail, AOL or Microsoft Outlook account.


10. Start broadcasting video and audio by using Stickam.com.
