Hotels In Staten Island New York City

Staten Island is home to the Statue of Liberty.

If you are traveling to Staten Island, New York, for business or vacation, there are several hotels from which you can choose. Most of the hotels are ideal for people who can't afford great luxury - the prices are reasonable, and the views from most of the hotels are phenomenal. Many hotel windows overlook the water, offering view of the New York City skyline or the Statue of Liberty.

Hilton Garden Inn

If you're looking for a taste of luxury, the Hilton Garden Inn is the place to go. Guests can choose between rooms with a king-size bed or two beds. The guest rooms also feature a computer desk and high-speed internet. Suites in the hotel have a two-person Jacuzzi, a living room with a hide-a-bed couch, and Nintendo for the kids. After you get settled into your room, you can partake in an Italian meal at Lorenzo's Restaurant downstairs. The restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner, with such menu options as spiedini alla romana and melanzane paninis, and a buffet for breakfast.

Harbor House

If you are looking for a more homey feel in your hotel, then the Harbor House bed and breakfast is a good choice. The outside of the hotel looks like an elaborate country house with a welcoming porch. The hotel has only 11 rooms, but seven of them offer impressive views, such as the Statue of Liberty. The master suite features a private kitchen and is $150 each night from May through December, and $130 a night from January through April, as of early 2011. There is also a $79-a-night economy room featuring a bunk bed. While all rooms feature Internet access, there are no telephones in them.

Hampton Inn

The Hampton Inn in Staten Island offers affordable guest rooms and suites. The suites feature a hide-a-bed in a sitting area, a whirlpool bath and a king-size bed. The guest rooms have either king- or queen-size beds, and some of them feature a study for business travelers. The Hampton doesn't feature a restaurant, but it does provide guests with a complimentary hot breakfast.
