Good Teen Hairstyles

Choose a hairstyle that suits your face.

Teenagers are often really choosy about clothing, shoes, hairstyles and basically everything that has to do with physical appearance. However, when choosing a hairstyle, you should take into account your face frame, face cuts and features. A particular hairstyle that is in fashion may not necessarily look good on you, so you should always choose the one that will work with your hair texture, quality and face shape. Does this Spark an idea?

Short Hairstyles

Short hairstyles are easy to maintain and are always in fashion. You can get the traditional "bob" cut, which varies in length but frames the face so it suits every face shape. You can also get a shaggy, punk-like haircut and do some layering and feathering. Shaggy looks great when accompanied by bangs on the side. If you like really short hair, you can go for spikes and style them up with strong-hold hairspray.

Curls

Curls are best on long hair, but can also be worn on medium-length hair. If you have long hair, you have the option of getting loose and larger curls; however, medium-length hair can only get small and tight curls. For parties and events, you can style them up with a curling rod or plastic rollers. If you want, you can get a perm, which lasts about four to six months, after which your hair starts coming back to its original shape.

Undercut

An undercut hairstyle involves trimming the underneath layers of your hair for adding slight curl. This gives an overall soft look to your hair, and gives your face a nice shape. This hairstyle is suitable for all kinds of face shapes.

Layered

A layered haircut is perhaps the most low-maintenance and easy-to-handle hairstyle, which doesn't require a lot of time in the mornings before going to school. Medium- to long-length hair is great for layers. With layers, you will automatically get volume without any effort. However, if you want extra body and boost, you can use a volumizing mousse or gel while the hair is damp. Smooth it into the hair with the help of a round brush and flat iron.
