Many women and men have aspirations to have a modeling career, whether it be walking the catwalk in the latest fashions or gracing the pages of a popular magazine. In order to get to that level of success, many people have to attend casting calls, but only a few actually get to that next level. One of the biggest reasons why so many models don't make it to that next level of success is because they don't know properly attend a model casting call. A casting call is the one shot that you get at impressing a casting agent and getting booked for a gig.
Instructions
1. Make sure you are groomed. This may seem like a no-brainer but many people go to model calls with their roots showing and in need of a shave. Before you go to any model call, make sure your hair is freshly done, styled, cut, shaved, etc. Don't think you will just get by on your good looks. There will be lots of good looking people at the model call. Gentlemen, make sure you are neatly shaven. If you are growing a beard, that's fine but make sure it is nicely lined up and neat.
2. Wear clothes that flatter you. Seriously. Wear clothes that BEST compliment your shape. If you are unsure, set up an appointment with a stylist and get some tips on dress your body type. If you can't afford a stylist, get a fashionable friend to help you. Don't be fooled into thinking that because you may be tall and thin, you can wear anything. Get some outside assistance to look your best.
3. Keep it simple. Your makeup, hairstyle or haircut and clothes MUST be simple and basic. Don't overdo it. Don't try to make yourself stand out by doing something crazy like wearing a lot of loud colors or a Mohawk. You will stand out, but that may not be what the casting agent is looking for. They want to see you, not your outfit or makeup.
4. Be confident. You want to be a model so show it. Modeling is not an industry that applauds modesty. Don't be intimidated by the beautiful people there. You're beautiful too so show those casting agents what you have to offer!
