Boston offers a multitude of historic and cultural attractions.
A popular destination for tourists, academics, businesspeople and "medical tourists," Boston has a comprehensive subway system, known by locals as "the T," which runs throughout the city and deep into the suburbs in three directions. The various lines are known by color--Blue, Red, Green, Orange and Silver--while two (the Green and the Red) split further into branches. A great number of hotels are located within a few blocks of a "T" stop.
Holiday Inn Boston-Brookline
Located just a few T stops from downtown Boston, the Holiday Inn in the tony suburb of Brookline is within walking distance of the hospitals in the Longwood Medical area and the charming shopping district of Brookline's Coolidge Corner. The C branch of the Green Line subway has a stop just meters away from the hotel. Catering to both families and business travelers, the Holiday Inn has 225 rooms on six floors, of which all but 10 are nonsmoking. All rooms have free Wi-Fi, satellite television, video games and air conditioning. Note that many rooms have showers rather than baths. Facilities include a fitness center, indoor pool, a restaurant-café and cocktail lounge. The room key provides access to the hotel's 24-hour business center with workstations, fax machines and laser printers.
The town of Brookline prohibits overnight street parking, but the Holiday Inn has an underground parking garage. The hotel provides complimentary shuttles to the Longwood Medical neighborhood. They also give a 15 percent room discount to those who present a Red Sox game ticket at check-in.
