Become A Sperm Donor At A Sperm Bank

Become a Sperm Donor at a Sperm Bank

Thousands of infertile couples require the services of a sperm bank each year to achieve their dreams of becoming parents. Young healthy men may want to consider becoming sperm donors as a legitimate way of helping others while earning money at the same time. Male college students make up a significant number of sperm donors at many sperm banks. If you are interested in becoming a sperm donor in order to help couples in need, read this article to find out the basic requirements.

Instructions

1. The basic criteria vary somewhat from locality to locality, but all sperm banks invite males from all ethnic backgrounds to be considered as potential sperm donors. Some basic requirements must be met, however.

2. These criteria sometimes include height requirements. (In other words some sperm donors require their sperm donors to be a certain height or taller.)

3. Typical age requirements at many (though not all) sperm banks are that sperm donors must be anywhere from eighteen to forty years old.

4. It helps if you live close to the sperm bank in question, though it is not absolutely necessary at all facilities.

5. Most sperm banks require that their sperm donor applicants provide documentation that they have earned their high school diplomas. (Educational requirements can vary somewhat from sperm bank to sperm bank.)

6. Some sperm banks ask that their sperm donors commit to being part of the program for a preset amount of time (such as one year, or perhaps two).

7. Sperm donors are typically asked to provide the staff at sperm banks with detailed genetic information about themselves and members of their families

8. All sperm banks require their sperm donor applicants to prove that they have no serious health conditions. More specifically, sperm banks typically do not accept applicants who have ever been infected with genital herpes, genital warts, hepatitis B, hepatitis C, HIV, or syphilis.
