Halo Wars continues the storyline of the popular Halo series in a real-time strategy format. You can command Spartan troops against the Flood and other enemies. Like all other Xbox 360 retail game releases, there are a possible 1,000 achievement points up for grabs, with some achievements more difficult and time consuming than others.
Detour the Great Journey
You must finish all 15 campaigns on the legendary difficulty to earn this achievement, which is worth 50 points. This is no easy task, but it can be done with practice. Remember if you find yourself in trouble to retreat and regroup. If you unlock this achievement, you will also get the Adjudicate the Arbiter achievement for 30 points, which requires beating the game on at least heroic difficulty.
Mr. Punctual
This achievement requires you finish all missions on heroic or legendary difficulty under par time. It is worth 15 points. The mission numbers and required times are:
1: 5 - 10
2: 15 - 30
3: 8 - 18
4: 21 - 35
5: 21 - 35
6: 15 - 30
7: 12 - 24
8: 18 - 30
9: 18 - 30
10: 20 - 32
11: 20 - 30
12: 8 - 18
13: 20 - 60
14: 15 - 30
15: 20 - 33
Own Worst Enemy
You must earn a gold medal with all of the debuff skulls active to get this 20-point achievement. These skulls include fog, sickness, rebel sympathizer, rebel supporter and rebel leader. Activate the skulls and complete a level to unlock this achievement.
Wall of Recognition
Earn a gold medal on every campaign mission to unlock this achievement, which earns you 30 points. Earn these on any difficulty level; co-op play will also count toward this achievement.
Running the Show
Get a general rank while playing on Xbox Live to get this 50-point achievement. Move up in rank as you score more points in matches so do all you can to maximize your points--build plenty of units, take over bases, upgrade everything, research more technologies, etc. You will need 2.4 million points to be ranked as a general.
Epic Grinder
If you can earn a lifetime campaign score of at least 1 million you will get this achievement for 40 points. You should be able to get it with a couple of playthroughs of the game.
