There are various fun games for New Year's parties.

New Year's is a time for new beginnings and celebrating with close family and friends. If you're organizing a New Year's Eve party to usher in the new year, an there are a lot of different fun and exciting party games to play to make the night memorable for everyone. Does this Spark an idea?

Charades of the Past

"Charades of the Past" is a fun and spirited game that can commemorate the year that is coming to a close. The only props necessary to play Charades of the Past are magazines and newspapers from the year. Beforehand, sift through the magazines and newspapers to select events that happened that year. This game is a memorable way to close out the ending year and welcome the brand new one.

Flashback

Flashback is a fun New Year's game that requires homemade cards that are decorated with photographs of fun family or friend moments, and major milestones of the past year. This game is similar to the aforementioned game in some ways, but is more child-friendly. A deck can be made that features six major events (such as a trip to an amusement park or zoo or a snow day). Then, pictures can be cut out from greeting cards, magazines and newspapers to symbolize the events. The events can also be symbolized by simple drawings. The images then need to be glued onto colored index cards. The deck is then prepared for a match of the classic game "Memory." It is important to be sure to have two images that are either identical or very similar.

Volley Balloon

Volley balloon is a fun-loving, spirited game for a New Year's party. Individuals of all ages can participate in a game of volley balloon. This game involves the seemingly simple premise of hitting a balloon back and forth. However, the twist is that every player needs to link one of their arms with a partner, which leaves them with merely one hand in which to perform said task. Whichever team is capable of volleying the balloon for the longest period of time becomes the winner. For added trickiness, teams can also attempt to race to a finishing line, all while volleying their balloons. If the balloon at any point hits the ground, the team has to then return to the starting line and start over completely.
