Bring Out Your Voice To The Fullest

Learn to project your voice to bring out its fullest potential.

If you are an amateur singer, bringing your voice out to the fullest is important for creating a strong, powerful sound. You can do this by adopting the correct posture, breathing and projection techniques. The benefit of this is not only a full sound but you will protect your voice and throat from damage. Work on your techniques gradually so you do not strain your voice. As you practice you will see a marked improvement.

Instructions

1. Get into good physical shape. To bring out your voice to the fullest you have to support your diaphragm properly which is helped by strengthening the associated muscles. These include muscles around the naval, pelvis and solar plexus. This will give you greater control of your voice so you can use it to its fullest potential. Sit-ups, swimming, running or Pilates will strengthen your stomach muscles.

2. Stand correctly. Align your spine, roll your shoulders backwards and look straight ahead. Lift your chest upwards so that you can fill your lungs with air properly. Hold your chin upwards slightly so that your throat opens up and you can take those deep breaths.

3. Breathe properly to bring your voice out to the fullest. First, put your hand on your abdominal muscles -- this is the area over the top of your belly button. Then, cough. Feel how the muscles contract within your stomach and push the air out of your lungs.

4. Practice taking a big breath. Your lungs needs to fill from the bottom so that you can make a powerful sound when the air is pushed out. Take a sharp, deep breath from the bottom of you lungs through your mouth. Feel your stomach expand and push out, like you practiced when you coughed.

5. Sing a note while looking in a mirror. As you exhale, open your mouth to release the air. Listen to how loud it is, remembering to always keep your posture in the right position..

6. Open up the space within your throat to create a fuller, louder sound. Try again to sing a note but this time concentrate on opening your mouth fully and push the air from the bottom of your lungs. Sing the note and physically widen your throat to project for a fuller sound.
