MP3 players like the Sony Walkman can often hold hundreds of songs, provide skip-free playback and hours of enjoyment on a single battery charge. They're also small and lightweight, which are important to runners. But to make sure don't awkwardly handle the player while running, put some thought into best wear it.
Instructions
1. Carefully examine your Walkman and all of the accessories that came with it. A few of Sony's MP3 players come with built-in molded plastic belt clips, and many come with an armband.
2. If your player doesn't have a clip or armband, shop for an armband or case from Sony (see resources below). Many of the cases sold by Sony are designed for protection and good looks rather than for ease of carrying, so check the product details carefully. If you prefer a case, look for one that has a waistband clip. If you buy one, keep the receipt and original packaging until you're sure it meets your needs.
3. Shop for fitness attire with pockets that will accommodate your MP3 player. Take your player and headphones with you when you shop for clothes, and put it in each available pocket. Make sure the pocket is deep enough so that the player will stay inside while you run and also that it's located where the headphone cord doesn't interfere with your stride. Keep an eye out for fitness attire specifically designed to accommodate MP3 players.
4. Consider upgrading to a Wireless Walkman. Wireless Walkmans are MP3 players in which the battery and data-storage units are built into a pair of small headphones, so there's nothing to carry (see resources below).
