A diet that's rich in fiber from grains, fruits, and vegetables yet low in simple carbohydrates is best for consistently producing healthy bowel movements. Digestive issues during pregnancy can have consequences far beyond just diarrhea and constipation; a healthy bowel absorbs the nutrients from your food.
