How View Battery Life On My Ipod Nano

The iPod Nano battery is long lasting.

The iPod Nano is a smaller, more portable version of Apple's classic iPod. The fifth-generation iPod Nano, released in 2009, can play up to 24 hours of music and 5 hours of video when fully charged. Although the iPod Nano is designed to play both music and movies for long periods of time, as a regular user, you likely will want to view the battery life of your Nano when using or charging the Nano.

Instructions

1. Turn on your iPod Nano. Make sure that the "Hold" button at the top of the Nano is turned off and press any button on the click-wheel of the iPod Nano.

2. Locate the battery life meter in the top right-hand corner of the Nano. It is a battery shaped icon.

3. View the battery life by noting how full the battery life icon is. A completely full battery will be solid green. As the battery depletes, the icon becomes less full. If the color inside the battery life indicator is red, this means you have less that 20 percent of your battery life available.

4. View a larger version of the battery life indicator by charging your iPod Nano. Turn the Nano off and plug it into a power source. When asleep, a large battery life indicator appears in the center of the screen. A fully-charged battery will be solid green with an image of a two-pronged power plug inside of the battery life indicator.
